1、 Composition and layout of Distillation Tower system

The Distillation tower system is composed of simple distillation tower, reboiler, Condenser, reflux tank and other equipment. It is generally arranged as close as possible to form an independent operating system according to the process sequence and in accordance with the requirements of the specification. Similar equipment is centrally arranged, for example, the condenser is generally arranged on the third floor, and the reflux tank is arranged in the second floor

On the first floor, the reboiler is installed at the bottom of the distillation tower, and the pump is arranged on the first floor. This is not only neat and beautiful, but also convenient to operate. Due to the particularity of reboiler, the related equipment and pipeline should be carefully designed.

2、 Distillation tower system operation

The liquid at the bottom of the tower is heated by reboiler to make part of it gasified. The reboiler enters into the tower from the tower bottom reboiler and contacts with the downcomer countercurrent two-phase. The volatile (low boiling point) components in the falling liquid are continuously transferred to the steam, and the non volatile (high boiling point) components in the steam are continuously transferred to the downcomer, and the steam is more and more connected

Near the top of the column, the higher the concentration of volatile components is, and the closer the downcomer is to the bottom of the column, the more the non volatile components are enriched to achieve the purpose of component separation. The steam rising from the top of the tower enters the condenser. Part of the condensed liquid is returned to the top of the tower as reflux, and the rest is sent out as distillate. Part of the liquid from the bottom of the tower is sent to the reboiler for heating and returning to the tower, and the other part is extracted as the residual liquid of the kettle.
